Bec and Steve - A Brief BIOGRAPHY

Performing hits from the 60’s through to current chart toppers, Rebecca and Steve have combined their musical talent to form an entertaining Acoustic Duo, Du Tu.

Rebecca has had many years of Dance & Vocal Training and performing
experience both in the Fraser Coast and Brisbane. She has achieved
much success as a Soloist winning numerous Talent shows and Vocal
competitions throughout Queensland. In 2007 she was accepted into the
prestigious Davidia Lind Dance College (DLDC) in Brisbane.
Following
her successful completion of the course, Rebecca remained in Brisbane to concentrate on her vocal
studies for a year, working on her second solo album with Producer
Chrisse Ferros of Bad Bubba Records. Originally a solo performer, in 2009 Rebecca formed the band Du Tu with Steven Saunders and have been performing locally at private functions, local restaurants and pubs as well as at Fraser Coast community events. Between gigs, Rebecca is the founding principal of the Fraser Coast Musical Theatre Academy - Dance Zone with branches in both Maryborough and Howard. Her bright, bubbly personality and sweet sultry singing voice will add something special to your function or event. She looks forward to entertaining you at your next event. |
Steve was born and raised in Manchester England. He played guitar
from a young age and as a teen joined the popular Pub Band, The
Opposition, playing Lead Guitar. Two years ago Steve migrated to Australia. When he arrived he began looking to establish a new band and has been excited to form Du Tu with Rebecca. Steve plays Electric and Acoustic Guitar and backs Rebecca up with vocals and a good massage when she is tense. Steve is a qualified personal trainer with a Diploma of Sport and Cert IV's in Fitness and Massage, so you can find him at many of the local gyms in Maryborough and Hervey Bay giving Personal Training Sessions when he is not performing!
