Tap dance originated in the USA during the 19th century, and is popular today in many parts of the world. The name comes from the sound made when the small metal tap-plates on the dancer's shoes touch the floor. This lively, rhythmic tapping makes the performer not only a dancer, but also a percussive musician. All Students will require tap shoes by the end of first term.TINY TOES TAP - Aged 3-5TINY’S TAP - Aged 6-8JUNIOR TAP - Aged 9-11SENIOR TAP – 12+Age groups may vary due to class numbers and abilities. Children may be placed in groups outside the stated age groups where appropriate
